Pune: iWGA proudly presents this year’s Awardee in Arts category, Anuradha Thakur. Known as the award-winning artist whose painting adorns the wall of PMO’S office, Anuradha was chosen one among the 100 Women achievers by Ministry of women & child development. Anuradha delivered TEDx Talk at Bits Pilani Hyderabad Campus. Her paintings have been showcased in exhibitions across the globe.

Right from her childhood and till date to establish herself as an artist she had taken uncharted paths of exploring the tribal life and different cultures. It's through her connection with tribals she got her vision and aim not only as an artist but also as a human being. It's through her paintings, where she draws black on white with the splash of earthen colors, she made her canvas as a platform to introduce us with the most untouched section of our society.

After her Fine art graduation, she worked for rural & slum children to bring in qualitative development & positive changes in their behavior with Art as her medium. Anuradha believes that art can help in making an impact on society as it has no language barriers.

Anuradha has also worked with NGO IHMP at Aurangabad and conducted art & craft workshops for rural people.

Anuradha’s unique style of painting and social values that she and her work espouses have made her stand apart from her fellow artists.

We, at iWGA, appreciate her efforts and marvel at her craft. We wish her great health and loads of success for further endeavors.
